Every nurse has a defining moment that shapes their commitment to patient care. For Michelle at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, that moment began at home.

Growing up, she watched her mother care for her father during his dialysis treatments. Seeing the dedication and advocacy required to support a loved one through chronic illness gave Michelle an early understanding of the impact nurses have on patients and families — and ultimately guided her decision to pursue nursing.
