Helping end an epidemic: Crush the Crisis
Each year, HCA Healthcare hosts a “Crush the Crisis” event in alignment with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event aims to raise awareness about the dangers of opioid misuse and proper disposal of medications.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic when 40 states reported an increase in opioid-related mortality, the event was more important than ever. Our team produced a cross-functional toolkit including video, social graphics, signage and more leading to HCA Healthcare’s most successful event to date. On October 24, 2020, more than 13,000 pounds of medication (approximately 9.3 million doses) were collected in at 95 facilities across 18 states.
The design team produced 28 assets between digital, social and print graphics. The social graphics were posted more than 950 times between division and corporate social channel generating almost 600,000 impressions. And the video team helped produce a video that rallied the HCA Healthcare troops to meet this record goal.
